WRITER: THE AU LIBRARY

Salaya, Nakhon Pathom, 11 November 2024 — A team of Assumption University administrators and key personnel conducted a significant study trip to Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, to explore sustainable environmental management practices. The visit focused on the implementation of UI Green Metric standards and initiatives such as bio-composting, wastewater treatment, recycling waste banks, organic farming, biodiesel production, and solar energy usage.

 
 
 

The Assumption University of Thailand (AU) delegation was led by Mr. Aek Wonganant, Director of the Office of the Vice President for Legal and Privilege Affairs, alongside Mrs. Benjaporn Anunwanitcha, Director of the Central Library, Ms. Pismai Saenchai, Director of the Office of Information Technology Services, Mr. Deachawat Vajasujarit, Assistant Director of the Office of the Inventory Management and other key department heads and stakeholders committed to enhancing AU’s sustainability initiatives.

 
 
 

Mahidol University’s Mr. Supoj Pasirod, Senior Professional Level Policy and Planning Analyst and Head of Administrative Affairs and System Development, and his professional colleagues, warmly welcomed the AU team. Mr. Pasirod provided an in-depth overview of Mahidol’s sustainability frameworks and initiatives, sharing invaluable insights that underscored Mahidol's commitment to environmental stewardship.

This collaborative engagement between Assumption University and Mahidol University paves the way for a stronger partnership in both academic and social development. The knowledge exchange not only enhances AU’s sustainability strategy but also strengthens the inter-university relationship, with both institutions leading the way in sustainable practices and community impact.
