On January 20, 2023, Confucius Institute at Assumption University(CIAU) was invited to participate in the Chinese New Year celebration at Assumption College Sriracha (ACS), Chon Buri Province.
Rev. Bro. Dr. Phisoot Wapiso, Director of Assumption College Sriracha delivered an opening speech, expressing Chinese New Year wishes to guests,students and teachers. All CIAU members attended the opening ceremony.
At the opening ceremony, theperformances of dragon and lion dance made the students very excited, filled with a strong atmosphere of Chinese festival.
The rabbit dance performance of primary school students was very cute and received a lot of applause. The traditional Chinese dance performed by middle school students interacted well with the audience during the performance, pushing the atmosphere to a climax.
After the opening performance, ACS cooperated with CIAU to carry out Chinese Open Day activities for their students. CIAU provided students with Chinese culture experience activities with the characteristics of Chinese New Year, such as writing Chinese blessings, “guessing good fortune” game, and cutting Chinese character
These cultural experience activities are loved by many students and parents.
