Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, the President of Assumption University of Thailand (AU), was honored with an invitation from His Excellency Dr. Han Zhiqiang, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Thailand, to partake in a reception commemorating the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
AU representatives were warmly received by Ambassador Dr. Han Zhiqiang and his spouse, Prof. Wang Huan. President Bancha conveyed heartfelt congratulations on behalf of AU, extending warm wishes to the People’s Republic of China on its 74th birthday.
Accompanying President Bancha were Assoc. Prof. Yang Hairong, the Director of the Confucius Institute at Assumption University, and Mr. Thanat Saenghiran. Together, they explored the captivating Picture Exhibition commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the "Belt and Road" Initiative, a display thoughtfully curated by the Chinese embassy. The delegation also had the privilege of enjoying a captivating cultural performance, jointly presented by talented artists from both China and Thailand.
The reception proved to be a remarkable gathering of luminaries, featuring distinguished guests representing various Thai government departments, prominent political parties, leading Chinese enterprises, and esteemed members of the Thai-Chinese community. The event, attended by over a thousand guests, exemplified the enduring friendship and deepening ties between the Kingdom of Thailand and the People’s Republic of China.
