The Saint Gabriel Foundations of Thailand (SGF), an educational organization of Saint Gabriel’s Catholic brothers, provides education through all of its 16 affiliated schools and one university (Assumption University of Thailand (AU)). Its vital mission is to provide education to children and youth. Assumption College Thonburi is the 8th educational institution of the St. Gabriel Foundation of Thailand. It was established in 1961 and carries out a mission of quality education serving the Church and Thai society until the school’s 60th anniversary is now.
The school celebrated its 60th anniversary with the theme “ACT 60th DIAMOND JUBILEE” on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Louis-Marie de Montfort Hall, Assumption College Thonburi. In this celebration, the school held a Holy Mass and solemn blessing of ACT Learning Space, presided over by Archbishop Anthony Weradet Chaiseri, Archbishop of Archdiocese of Thare and Nonseng.
Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President of Assumption University of Thailand (AU), was invited by Rev. Bro. Dr. Sakda Sakonthawat, Director of ACT, to participate in this celebration. On this auspicious occasion, he met and exchanged greetings with the AU alumni and other celebrities. In addition to AU President, Rev. Bro. Dr. Achin Tengtrakul, Vice President for Administrative Affairs; Rev. Bro. Dr. Verayuth Boonpram, Vice President for Student Affairs, participated in this special event.
