On February 1, 2023, Confucius Institute at Assumption University (CIAU) and Assumption College Samutprakarn jointly signed a MOU agreement to undertake the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK). Rev. Bro. Dr. Monthol Prathumarach, Director of Assumption College Samutprakarn and Assoc. Prof. Yang Hairong, Director of CIAU, signed the agreement together.
Bro. Manit Sakonthawat, Vice Director and English Program Consultant of Assumption College Samutprakarn, and Ms. Rungrat Kamonririprasert (มิสรุ่งรัตน์ กมลศิริประเสริฐ), witnessed the signing ceremony.
After the signing ceremony, Ms. Nittaya Iampoom (นางสาวนิตยา เอี่ยมพุ่ม), CIAU Thai Chinese teacher, demonstrated how to conduct the Chinese Proficiency Speaking Test (HSKK) on the computer for Assumption College Samutprakarn’s teachers, in order to help them organize the HSKK better.
Since Assumption College Samutprakarn became the fifth teaching site of CIAU in 2017, the two sides have maintained a good cooperative relationship in organizing Chinese teaching, carrying out Chinese cultural activities, organizing Chinese Proficiency Test, and training local Chinese teachers.
To further strengthen the cooperative relationship between CIAU and Assumption College Samutprakarn and maintain a close relationship between Assumption University of Thailand and Assumption College Samutprakarn, when the old agreement expired, the two sides decided to continue their partnership for a three-year extension on MOU.
