Assumption University of Thailand (AU) has entered into an academic cooperation agreement with ARIT Company Limited, marking a significant step towards the realization of the "Future Proof Economies Program." This project aims to enhance students' proficiency in digital technology and the English language to meet international standards, better preparing them for the labor market. Additionally, the collaboration includes the establishment of a comprehensive learning system with the ultimate goal of elevating the Thai education sector to an international level.

The agreement was formally signed on October 6, 2023, at Assumption University's Suvarnabhumi Campus. Mr. Woratep Mongkolwathee, the General Manager of ARIT Company Limited, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Uree Cheasakul, the Deputy Vice President for Academic Affairs of Assumption University, put pen to paper in a ceremony that marked the beginning of this transformative partnership. Central to this collaboration is the integration of international-standard assessment tools sourced from Certiport Inc., USA.

These tools encompass a wide array of IT and non-IT skills assessments. Additionally, the Pearson English Assessment, a language proficiency test aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) levels, is included. These assessments utilize the Global Scale of English (GSE) scores from Pearson, ensuring the accuracy and credibility of the evaluation process.

A pivotal component of this cooperation is the incorporation of AI technology, which promises to minimize errors in the assessment of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. This technology will standardize assessment criteria across the globe, further enhancing the educational experience. This strategic partnership is a response to the evolving demands of the modern world, where educational institutions must rapidly adapt to equip students with the skills and readiness necessary to thrive in the labor market. The imperative is to nurture diverse and flexible skill sets that will empower students to excel in the ever-changing employment landscape of the future.
