Assumption University of Thailand (AU) gathered across both its campuses to commemorate the life and legacy of His Majesty Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great on the occasion of Navamindra Maharaj Day.
Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President and Rector Magnificus of AU, expressed his profound reverence for His Late Majesty's impact on Thailand. "It has been 7 years since we've observed this memorial day, now officially recognized as Navamindra Maharaj Day," said Brother Bancha. "We congregate to remember with deepest gratitude His Late Majesty's benevolent works, which were founded upon the local livelihood, geography, and centuries-old cultures of Thailand."
Brother Bancha also drew attention to the three key components of King Bhumibol's Sufficiency Economy Philosophy-moderation, self-reliance, and a strong foundation-urging the AU community to integrate these principles for the betterment of society.
"We humbly offer our prayers for the eternal repose of His Late Majesty King Bhumibol," added Brother Bancha. "His philosophy and words will never be forgotten; they continue to be alive in our missions for the betterment of our society."
The ceremony concluded with an 89-second silence observed by the AU community as a gesture of remembrance and deepest gratitude towards His Late Majesty.
