On 28th September 2022, Assumption University organized the 12th Albert Prize Student Excellence Awards announcement via Albert Prize webpage. The criteria of the 12th Albert Prize Awards were related to the ways in which AU students and AU units have been dealing with changes during the COVID-19 pandemic by using creativity and innovation to improve their performances. As a result, Assumption University has bestowed the prizes in 11 subcategories among 4 award categories and the Special Recognition Award for Award of the Year for 6 subcategories.

  1. The Best Student Award and The Special Recognition Award for Student for 3 subcategories.
  2. The Special Recognition Award for Project for 2 subcategories.
  3. Merit Award for 1 subcategory.

19 prize candidates were present in the LIVE Steam via Albert Prize webpage at 14:00 and the award ceremony took place onsite at 17:30 at President’s House. Towards the end of the event, Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran gave speech to complement all commitments and passions in their study and activity transformations during the COVID-19 pandemic with hope that the awards could be inspirations to other AU students to move forward and become power for future development.

Mr. Chuntakorn Rojanasiriwat is the most important person who always works behind the scene and devotes his time with hardworking and strong determination of achievement throughout the academic year 2021 including the transition interval between the management term of academic 2021 and 2022 in order to support student activity units even in the tough period of COVID-19 epidemic. With the role of Assumption University Student Organization Leader, he had never missed the chance to initiate student development projects via both onsite and online platforms. The award was bestowed on him to remark his dedication and express our appreciation towards his wonderful working performance.

As overall situations have returned to normal in 2022, AU student activities are most likely conducted onsite. Consequently, Assumption University expects more AU students and AU units to receive the awards in the 13th Albert Prize Student Excellence Awards.
