Ms. Suphakorn Phuripichet, student of Assumption University of Thailand won the Brand Mascot Design for Shabu Queen Restaurant held by A. Tiffany Shelton, lecturer and project advisor to ART2112 Illustration.

Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President of Assumption University of Thailand and Dr. Marissa Chantamas, Dean of Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts together with Asst. Prof. Nattanan Naewmalee, Chairperson of Department of Creative Communication Design and Lecturer, A. Tiffany Shelton, congratulated Ms. Suphakorn Phuripichet, a 3rd -year student from Department of Visual Communication Design, Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts for winning the Brand Mascot Design for Shabu Queen Restaurant with a premium voucher for two and certificate of appreciation award by Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts. Ms. Suphakorn’s winning design named “Shuby” will be used as the brand mascot and has been hired to continue the project by the cofounder.

The project focused on how the usage of a brand mascot can enhance a brands presence and impression on customers. The project consisted of one idle pose and three action poses with digital mockups. 15 students participated in the competition and one winner was selected by both cofounders. The selected design “Shuby” is a sphynx cat with big doe eyes, wearing a long red gown and a gold crown. Sphinx cats are often associated with wealth, royalty, and good fortune. In addition, “Shuby” has an excellent aptitude, making her great at card games.
