We are ecstatic and proud to be honored with the World Peace Ethics Awards.

Seventeen AU students from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Vincent Mary School of Science and Technology, Louis Nobiron School of Music, Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, and Theodore Maria School of Arts, have been awarded the winner, first runner-up and many prestigious prizes for their exceptional performance in the 13th World Peace Ethics Contest.



On March 8, 2023, the project coordinator of the world peace club led by Ms. Anchalee Trinate along with assistant project coordinator Mrs. Panita Yue-Kim and photographer Khun Soomboon Boonprasitthipol are honored to present the 13th World Peace Ethics 2023 Awards to 17 AU Awardees at ST. Gabriel’s Hall Conference Room 106 from 1.00-2.00 p.m., at Assumption University of Thailand, Suvarnabhumi Campus.



The primary purpose of the prize-giving ceremony is to recognize their excellence in the development of ethical awareness in everyday life through three-day activities-based learning and to extend their existing knowledge, ethical principles, and moral values to family, friends, society, and the world.

The following is the list of 17 AU Students who have won first place winner, and 1st runner-up, and other honorary awards:

  1. Mr. Thimothy James Capiz, a 1st-year student, from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, won the first prize and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 10,000 baht cash prize.
  2. Ms. Shivatmika Singh Pradhan, a 2nd-year student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, won the first runner-up and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 7,000 baht cash prize.
  3. Ms. Samriddhi Gautam, a 2nd-year student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, won 4th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 4,000 baht cash prize.
  4. Mr. Asad Hussain, a 1st-year student from Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, won 5th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 3,000 baht cash prize.
  5. Mr. Poomsaran Chanhiran, a 3rd-year student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, won 7th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 1,500 baht cash prize.
  6. Ms. Ashika Yeasmin Angkur, a 4th-year student, from Vincent Mary School of Engineering, won 8th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 1,500 baht cash prize.
  7. Mr. Syed Jibrael Bagheri, a 1st -year student, from Vincent Mary School of Engineering, won 9th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 1,500 baht cash prize.
  8. Mr. Aashish Dubey, a 3rd- year, from Vincent Mary School of Science and Technology, won 10th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 1,500 baht cash prize.
  9. Mr. John Aldrin Roy, a 4th-year student, from the School of Music, won 11th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 1,000 baht cash prize.
  10. Ms. May Phue Ngone, a 1st-year student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, won 12th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 1,000 baht cash prize.
  11. Ms. Duangcheewan Chaiyalap, a 3rd-year student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, won 13th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 1,000 baht cash prize.
  12. Mr. Jirawin Tansuthas, a 1st-year student, from Theodore Maria School of Arts, won 14th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 1,000 baht cash prize.
  13. Mr. Nikhil Ojesh Yadav, a 3rd- year student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, won 15th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 1,000 baht cash prize.
  14. Ms. Tazrian Abdus Salam, a 3rd-year student, from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, won 16th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 1,000 baht cash prize.
  15. Mr. Jinna Junganekpol, a 2nd-year student, from Theodore Maria School of Arts, won 18th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 1,000 baht cash prize.
  16. Ms. Victory Chizaram Adanma Ajaegbu, a 3rd-year student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, won 19th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 1,000 baht cash prize.
  17. Ms. Raya Mayisha Khan, a 2nd-year student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, won 20th place and received the Certificate of Excellence together with a 1,000 baht cash prize.

On this occasion, Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, AU President presided over the opening ceremony and gave a warm welcome to all those who joined the award-giving ceremony. He expressed his gratitude to the event organizer for organizing such a praise-worthy event for the Thai and International youths throughout the country and thanked the awardees, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, the GE chairperson, and all lecturers and staff who have devoted their valuable time to lead remarkable results.

Next, Ms. Anchalee Trinate, the project coordinator of the world peace club presented all awards to the awardees. She felt overwhelmed by the warmth and sincere welcome given by the AU President and everyone here in the conference hall. She said that “It was a great pleasure for me and the team to be here.” She appreciated all AU representatives who devoted their time and put their best efforts into the activity on this Ethics Camp and finally achieved resounding results. Moreover, she expressed her thankfulness to Assumption university for our big support in enriching ethical values and morality among young adolescents.

Then, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sureepong Phothongsunan, Dean of Theodore Maria School of Arts, later gave a thankful speech to the World Peace Ethics Team for organizing this worthwhile event and addressed the need for instilling morals and ethics into young learners.

Lastly, Dr. Jaruwan Puangmalee, Chairperson of the General Education Department remarked that extra-curricular activities can indeed help encourage students to improve their self-learning and personal development.

   
Subsequently, Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran presented a gift as a token of appreciation to Ms. Anchalee Trinate. Afterward, all participants gathered to take a group photo.

Having interviewed our seventeen awardees, the following are reports on self-reflections in connection with their learning activities:

Mr. Aashish Dubey, a 20-year-old Indian student born in Thailand from the Vincent Mary School of Science and Technology, is very much fascinated by studying history, enjoys playing a game of chess, and likes to join debating competitions. He sincerely spoke his mind about what he liked and learned from this Ethics camp and hopes that he will participate in next year’s event. In addition, he would like to extend his heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Thavorn Thitthongkam, a Full-time Lecturer at the Department of English for Business Communication at Sripatum University for taking his valuable time and sharing experiences with us. He said, “ Thank you so much for being there and providing such a sincere comment for us. Wishing you good health and happiness in life. We all miss you.”

Mr. Jinna Junganekpol, a 19-year-old Thai student from Theodore Maria School of Arts, is much liked by his friends for his punctual, emphatic caring, and respectful conduct, said that he has had a very good experience at this Ethics Camp. This learning experience helps him to enrich his present and future life. Even if he can't reach it, at least he is among the stars. Moreover, He would like to give special thanks to Dr. Jaruwan Puangmalee, Chairperson of the General Education Department for her valuable support and guidance that makes this project a success.
Ms. Raya Mayisha Khan is a 22-year-old Bangladeshi student from the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics whose biggest strength is her mother. Her several good attributes are inspired by her mother such as her kindness to others, always smiling, and finding happiness in small things. She delightfully described how these learning activities kept her physically and mentally healthy. She also would like to sincerely thank Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sureepong Phothongsunan, Dean of Theodore Maria School of Arts for his enormous support and great vision that lead us to achieve a project successful.
Ms. Duangcheewan Chaiyalap is a 21-year-old Thai student whose life motto is to love oneself, do one’s best, and never stop learning and developing oneself for one’s growth. She blissfully spoke about what valuable experiences she gained from this learning environment. She said that she would like to encourage the AU students to join this event, and she will try to help the GE department to get more participants for the upcoming World Peace Ethics Contest by first telling all of her friends. Moreover, she greatly appreciated Ms. Nanthanat Samothai and Ms. Paweena Lakkham for their best contribution to the Chinese group students. She said, “I spoke on the behalf of Chinese students, we very much appreciate the time you spent discussing all ideas with us. Thank you for all the help you have given us.”
Mr. John Aldrin Roy is a much loved Bangladeshi student with talents from the School of Music and is very affectionate. He believes in the power of positive thinking that can overcome all obstacles in life. A leader by nature, he never hesitates to contribute ideas when invited to do so. He revealed his feelings on the experiences that he learned from participating in the Ethics camps and gave a piece of meaningful advice for the next group of AU students who are potentially competent and want to join the upcoming 14th World peace Ethics Contest. Additionally, he would like to extend his sincere gratitude to Dr. Lloyd Nwafor, Lecturer & International Cooperation Manager International College, North-Chiang Mai University for taking the time to share his insight with us. He said, “We do appreciate your positive comments and we all miss you.”

Ms. May Phue Ngone, a 1st-year student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, is industrious, disciplined, and flexible. Her strength is to adapt to any quick changes. She smilingly opened up her thoughts on this event and shared some knowledge gained with her friends. She said that she would like to extend her warmest gratitude to the chef, kitchen staff, waiter, and waitress for delivering the tasty meals. “Thank you for your caring to make healthy and yummy food for us.”
Ms. Shivatmika Singh Pradhan, a 20 –year old Nepali student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, courteously said that she would like to thank all AU Top Management Committee, Lecturers, and the world peace club for giving us opportunities to learn, to grow in our career paths and personal life. She gently explained that the best way for students to learn is to relate what they learned in class to real-life situations which gives them a precise picture of what they are learning. Moreover, she would like to express her deepest gratitude to Ms. Anchalee Trinate for her care and sympathy to supply all the nice vegan dishes for her. She said, “Thank you so much for treating me so nicely.”
Ms. Samriddhi Gautam is a 20-year-old Nepali student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, whose life motto is always to look at the brighter side. She strongly believes that a person should be diligent, honest, optimistic, calm, and true to herself even in hard situations. She considerately mentioned how meditation practice is presently useful in everyday life. It does not only keep distractions away but also keeps us focused on the present. She would like to extend her sincere gratitude to DR. Vichuda Lochaya for her devotion to Thai and International Youth to finding peace within.
Ms. Victory Chizaram Adanma Ajaegbu is a -18- year-old Nigerian student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics whose life motto is to always challenge yourself in trying or doing things that are out of your comfort zone because you will never know the best yet to come. She values honesty in all circumstances. She is cheerful, kind, easy-going, and always determined. She genuinely pointed out the advantages of participating in this Ethics event. She appreciated the good accommodation provided by the event organizer. She would like to express her thankfulness to the World Peace Ethics Team for their superb hospitality.

Mr. Syed Jibrael Bagheri, a 19–year Indian student, from the Vincent Mary School of Engineering, is interested in philosophy as he thinks that this source of philosophy enlarges his vision and enables him to discover what is the truth about life. In addition, it also guides us to live a good life. Psychology is another field of knowledge that he is naturally curious to know why people act in such a way. He said, “Studying psychology is important in life as it helps me to understand, predict, and shape human behaviors.” The following statement, “God doesn’t burden a soul of which it cannot bear” is his life motto which best demonstrates his strong faith and devotion to the Supreme God. He delightedly shared his point of view on taking part in this activity. He fully accepted that this learning activity can strengthen students’ eagerness to learn and improve their learning ability. Additionally, he would like to give a big thanks to Khun Soomboon Boonprasitthipol for his professionalism and patience with all of the students during the photoshoot. He said, “Thank you for all the lovely pictures. It is wonderful.!!!”

Mr. Thimothy James Capiz, a 1st-year Filipino student, from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, enthusiastically expressed his thoughts on the importance of enhancing ethical values for young people at the university level. He admitted that students need a positive emotional environment that can help facilitate their education paths and academic achievements. He reflected on the effective strategy called “positive affirmations” which was trained by DR. Vichuda Lochaya, a guest speaker. Besides, he would like to extend his heartfelt thank to Rev. Bro. Dr. Amnuay Yoonprayong, Vice President for Moral Development for all of his continued support as always. He said, “Thank you for inspiring us to do good and avoid evil, and thank you so much for being a great role model.”

Ms. Ashika Yeasmin Angkur, a 4th-year Bangladeshi student from Vincent Mary School of Engineering, interestingly added that students ‘moral values are closely linked to the learning environment which can make students more engaged and increase their overall learning capacities. In addition, she would like to thank Dr. Mithila Chowdhury for her loving kindness and devotion to teenagers and youth. She said, “Thank you so much for sharing valuable experiences and giving us knowledge that helps guide us to have a bright future and happy family life.”
Ms. Tazrian Abdus Salam is a 3rd-year Bangladeshi student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, whose main goal in life is to make her parents proud. She is determined and resilient. One of her favorite quotations is: “Health is the greatest gift, contentment is the greatest wealth.” She spoke on behalf of AU and said “I would like to thank everyone in the World Peace Club for your wonderful hospitality during our three-day Ethics Camp. Your thoughtfulness and kindness have made every moment meaningful and unforgettable. We made new friends with good memories, and a wealth of knowledge that will help us grow as individuals”

Mr. Nikhil Ojesh Yadav, a 3rd- year Indian student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, joyfully expressed that he enjoyed the early morning workout-physical activity. It kept him fresh and felt more energized. He also would like to thank Ms. Suriporn Wanichwetin for being a loving and dedicated mentor in every way. He said happily, “How fortunate I am to have you.” Additionally, he would like to thank Mrs. Panita Yue-Kim for every way that she has done for us. He said, “I have been touched by your tender feelings and sincere caring. It made me feel never lonely.”

Mr. Asad Hussain, a 19-year-old Pakistani student born in Thailand at the Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, demonstrates a love of learning in material arts and 3d art. He is an energetic, creative, and determined person with integrity. He values honesty as it is the cornerstone of trust in any relationship. His life motto to live by is “There is always calmness after the storm.” He sincerely expressed that he liked the morning exercise activity the most as it was really fun, and made him easily get to know more friends. Moreover, it also helped with relaxation and sleeping quality. Besides, he would like to express his heartfelt gratitude to everyone that helped make this project successful for their hard work and dedication. He happily said, “I enjoy and satisfy with all things. I wish to see all of you guys in the next coming up.”

Mr. Poomsaran Chanhiran, a 3rd-year Thai student from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, described how he felt and what he has learned from these Ethics camp activities. Furthermore, he would like to extend his appreciation and special thanks to Ms. Anchalee Trinate for being an excellent project coordinator. He said, “I have my heartfelt thanks for your professional and incredible contribution to this project event. We will all remember you.”
Mr. Jirawin Tansuthas, a 19-year-old Thai student from Theodore Maria School of Arts, is always optimistic, helpful, and good at controlling his emotions. He openly expressed his thoughts on his impression and benefits gained from this learning activity camp. Besides, he said, “Thank you for making such a comfortable arrangement for everything. I am truly grateful for your good accommodations, and delicious food and desserts too.”
