Nagoya Gakuin University Charts Course for Collaboration with AU

On February 18, 2026, a delegation from Nagoya Gakuin University (NGU), comprising

Professor Phillip R. Morrow of English and Linguistics and Manager Yasunori Shibata of the International Center, visited Assumption University of Thailand (AU) ‘s Suvarnabhumi Campus to explore student exchange programs and short-term study abroad initiatives.

The exchange took place at the Office of International Affairs (OIA), where Dr. Siriwan Preechanarit and Dr. Hathaichanok Komintarachat from the Theodore Maria School of Arts met with the NGU delegation.

The group engaged with faculty at the Theodore Maria School of Arts, observing classroom activities aligning with NGU’s interest in four-week programs combining English, Thai arts and culture. Discussions highlighted exchange options, including direct school attachment for Thai culture courses, standard exchanges with English support, and customized short-term faculty-led programs.

The itinerary continued with a guided tour of key campus sites: the Library, the Chapel of St. Louis Marie de Montfort , and John Paul II Sports Center, showcasing AU’s academic resources, spiritual life, student facilities, and innovative research.

AU extends sincere appreciation to Professor Phillip Morrow, Mr. Yasunori Shibata, Mary, Dr. Siriwan, Dr. Hathaichanok, and the OIA and PR teams for their contributions, marking a promising step toward partnerships in language, culture, and global student mobility.
