The ceremony begins with an academic procession led by University and faculty flags, followed by executives, honorable guests, and proud nursing students. The opening prayer be delivered by Rev. Fr. Joseph Kyaw Lin Aung

Asst. Prof. Dr. Onouma Thummapol, Dean of the Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science, will deliver the academic address, celebrating the students’ dedication and growth. This will be followed by the capping ceremony, during which students will recite the Florence Nightingale Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to ethical nursing practice:
Florence Nightingale Pledge
I solemnly pledge myself before God and in the presence of this assembly,
to pass my life in purity and to practice my profession faithfully.
I will abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous,
and will not take or knowingly administer any harmful drug.
I will do all in my power to maintain and elevate the standard of my profession,
and will hold in confidence all personal matters committed to my keeping
and all family affairs coming to my knowledge in the practice of my calling.
With loyalty will I endeavor to aid the physician in their work,
and devote myself to the welfare of those committed to my care.
The ceremony will also feature a choral performance by the Class of 2026.

A highlight of the event will be a heartfelt commentary by Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of Assumption University of Thailand, who continues to inspire the AU community through his steadfast leadership and deep moral vision.
The event concludes with a closing prayer by Rev. Fr. Joseph Kyaw Lin Aung and a commemorative photo session.
As these future nurses don their caps, they carry with them not only knowledge and skill, but the heart to heal—a reflection of AU’s values in action.
