Graduate Students Enjoy Bangkok’s Michelin Eats and Historic Sights

Students from Assumption University of Thailand (AU)’s Graduate School set out on a cultural adventure aboard a Thai Bus Food Tour double-decker, combining Michelin Guide–recognized dining with a panoramic journey through more than 20 iconic attractions around Rattanakosin Island.

Together, the group explored Bangkok’s most storied landmarks, including Hua Lamphong Railway Station, Wat Traimit, Chinatown Gate, Chinatown, Golden Mount (Wat Saket), Loha Prasat, Democracy Monument, Wat Bowonniwet Vihara, The Grand Palace, Sanam Luang, the Ministry of Defence, the Giant Swing, Wat Suthat, and Wat Mangkon Kamalawat. Each stop highlighted the layers of history, design, and tradition that define our city.

Their culinary journey was equally memorable. Thanks to the Thai Bus Food Tour’s curated route, students enjoyed dishes from Michelin Bib Gourmand–recognized restaurants, featuring:

    • Yentafo Nai Ouan (Sao Chingcha) – Yentafo
    • Krua Apsorn – Fish Ball Green Curry
    • Pad Thai Fai Ta Lu – Stir-Fried Pad Thai with Fresh Prawns
    • Nai Ouan Guay Jub (Yaowarat) – Guay Jub

Heritage, flavors, and warm Thai hospitality came together to create a day the students won’t soon forget.

The tour welcomed exchange students from two distinguished institutions whose academic strengths added wonderful diversity to the group. Hochschule Mainz – University of Applied Sciences, recognized for its practical, industry-connected approach to learning, brought students eager for real-world discovery and Southeast Asian cultural immersion. Joining them were students from EDHEC Business School, one of Europe’s top business schools renowned for excellence in finance, analytics, and leadership development, globally minded learners ready to engage in meaningful cross-cultural exchange.
