BANGKOK — On June 25 and 26, the MSME Lobby of Assumption University of Thailand (AU) ’s Suvarnabhumi Campus was transformed into a gateway to global opportunity. More than 20 international institutions gathered for the AU Study Abroad Fair 2025, offering students a rare chance to connect directly with representatives from leading Universities in the United Kingdom, Australia, Switzerland, Japan, and beyond.
Organized by the University’s Office of International Affairs, the two-day event combined practical workshops, panel discussions, and live Q&A sessions with a showcase of study-abroad programs.

A Broadening Horizon
The fair opened with a welcome from the AU Study Abroad Team, followed by a candid student panel sharing firsthand accounts of academic life overseas. From there, the agenda turned global.
On the first day, KPB International addressed how internships can bolster career readiness, while the University of the West of England (UWE) hosted back-to-back sessions on postgraduate work visas and writing statements of purpose. A virtual appearance by University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria capped off the day with insights into studying in continental Europe.
Day two leaned into personal growth and career strategy. Hult International Business School led a session on branding oneself in an international market. Swiss Hotel Management School explored the global demand for hospitality professionals. University of Birmingham shared practical tools for navigating the UK’s degree landscape.
Notably, J. Education hosted a deep dive into studying in Japan, drawing strong interest from students eager to explore Asia-based options.

Learning Beyond the Lecture Hall
Interactive elements like the Stamp Card Challenge added a layer of engagement, incentivizing students to speak with multiple institutions in exchange for small gifts. But it was the meaningful conversations—about values, goals, and identity in a global context—that left the strongest impression.
This year’s fair saw enthusiastic participation from students across a diverse range of faculties—including MSME, CA, VMES, Music, and Arts—highlighting the University-wide interest in global learning opportunities.
Feedback from attendees was equally inspiring, with students expressing a strong desire for the event to be held every semester, along with requests for more talk sessions and greater participation from international Universities.
