WRITER: THE AU LIBRARY
The energy was electric at the Future Food Innovation Junior Competition 2025, on October 17, 2025, hosted by Assumption University of Thailand (AU) at the Salle d’Expo, Hua Mak Campus. Organized by the Theophane Venard School of Food Biotechnology and Innovation, the event brought together the top 43 finalist teams from across Thailand to pitch their groundbreaking “Future Food” products to a panel of judges from academia and industry.
The competition challenges students to create innovative, market-ready food products that respond to global sustainability challenges. The judging criteria included innovation, sustainability, presentation, and commercial potential.
Opening remarks were delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Patchanee Yasurin, Dean of the School, who encouraged students to “imagine bold, create responsibly, and lead with purpose”. The event concluded with the awards ceremony presided over by Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of AU.

Each winning team received cash prizes and recognition for their outstanding contributions to Thailand’s sustainable food innovation landscape.
About the Competition
The Future Food Innovation Junior Competition is designed to inspire and empower the next generation of food innovators. Through real-world challenges, mentorship, and national-level exposure, students are encouraged to develop solutions that support Thailand’s bio-circular-green (BCG) economy and contribute to global sustainable development.
