AU Communication Arts Students’ Worthwhile Contributions to Environmental Cause!

The ‘Athena’ Group who are senior students of Public Relations Department, Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, Assumption University have recently collaborated with a non-profit organization named the ‘Little Bee Hero’ to organize a social campaign aimed at creating awareness about benefits and uses of ‘Plast-Ist’ as well as minimizing an environmental problems caused by a single-use plastic waste. The students have also generated ‘U Do Ist Challenge’, a DIY activity to provide families an opportunity to have a real experience of making ‘Plast-Ist’ with their kids. In summary, there are participants in total joining this challenge. Besides, students are able to generate around 11 influencers’ posts and shares for this activity.

On the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana’s Birthday Anniversary, Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President-Rector Magnificus, led a group of AU community members: management, administrators, faculty, staff and students, clad in purple attires, to celebrate HM the Queen’s Birthday which falls on June 3, 2020.

AU Rector’s Participation in H.M. Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana’s Birthday Celebration

Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President-Rector Magnificus, joined the other committee members, Ruam Jit Royal Foundation for Youth under the Royal Patronage, celebrating and paying homage to H.M. Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana on the occasion of her birthday anniversary. The group signed the signature book, presenting bouquets of flowers in front of Her Majesty’s portrait at Sahathai Samakom Pavilion, the Royal Grand Palace, on June 3, 2020.

The 22nd group of AU scholarship recipients from Klai Kung Won Palace School, Hua Hin, visited Rev. Bro. Congratulations to MSME Student Who Won the P&G CEO Challenge 2020

Superwomen Team headed by Noppasorn Sirinorrarat, Department of Business Economics, Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME Business School) won the P&G CEO Challenge 2020 Asia Pacific Round on April 30, 2020. This is the first virtual competition hosted by Procter & Gamble in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. As representatives of Thailand they had to compete against teams from the Asia Pacific region including Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Vietnam. With this victory the team would represent the region to compete against teams from North America, Latin America, Europe, China, and IMEA at the Global Round in Mexico City.

A corner showcasing a variety of textbooks: educational and many other types of useful reading materials for Free Pick Up! for students and interested individuals, has been set up by the AU Central Library on the 1st Floor, St. Gabriel Library, Hua Mak Campus! Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President - Rector Magnificus, stopped by to chat with some students, who gladly took the available Take-Away Gifts of highly educational value!

Happiness Sharing Bags for the AU Janitorial Workers and Security Guards

Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO) in cooperation with the Social Development Students Club presented the 290 happiness sharing bags containing supplies to the AU Janitorial Workers (Cleaners) and Security Guards, who have been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak, on June 17, 2020 at Suvarnabhumi Campus. The kind-hearted activity & charity was carried out as a generous gesture of sharing to the less privileged or unfortunate group of workers during the crisis. Officiating the charitable function, Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President-Rector Magnificus, headed the team of student leaders, club members and officials, joined by Rev. Bro. Dr. Achin Tengtrakul, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Rev. Bro. Dr. Verayuth Boonpram, Vice President for Financial Affairs, and Rev. Bro. Anupat Petchara Yuttachai, Professor of the Order of St. Gabriel.

AU Computer Science Student Awarded Apple WWDC 2020 (Swift Student Challenge Winner!)

Mr. Poom Penghiran, an AU Computer Science Major, Vincent Mary School of Science & Technology, snatched the highly prestigious Apple WWDC Award 2020 (Swift Student Challenge Winner). Being the 3rd Thai student presented with this fiercely contested award for the past five years, Poom emerged as one of the 350 student winners worldwide.

AU Nursing Science Students Granted Top Non-Smoking Award

Highest “Like” and Share” Counts of AU Nursing Science Students’ competitive “Quit for Love” Non-Smoking Youtube’s Ad (Video Clip) led to their being voted top Winner during the 2020 Non-Smoking Campaign for Thai Society; among countless contesting nursing student groups representing Nursing Schools from all over Thailand. This ideal Non-Smoking or Free of Tobacco Campaign of 2020 was organized by the Nurse Network on Tobacco Control of Thailand, Nurses’ Association under the Royal Patronage.
