June 18, 2021 AU collaborating with APHEIT: A Sustainable Way towards a New Life with Health Model Project (AU Fit for Run)
Center for Sports and Physical Fitness (CSPE), Office of The Vice President for Student Affairs collaborating with the Association of Private Higher Education Institutions of Thailand under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (APHEIT) implement the project “AU Fit for Run: A Sustainable Way towards a New Life with Health Model” on 7 April to 18 June, 2021 at Suvarnabhumi Campus. This project is a distance run mileage for interested instructors, staff, and students with the purpose of routine exercise promotion, time allocation to physical activity, awareness on healthy lifestyle, and daily life adaptation. 50 participants are expected with a better Body Mass Index (BMI). |

August 5, 2021 ABAC School of Music student won the First Prize “ETC Cover Challenge” Tanyathorn Nantasen (Pompom), a student from Department of Music Entrepreneurship, Louis Nobiron School of Music, was announced to be the winner of the cover challenge from the renowned band ETC. The band under the record label, Muzik Move Records released the campaign for online singers to join the challenge by recording the video singing the band’s latest million views song “ความจริงเป็นสิ่งที่ตาย” (Truth is mortal) The award was announced on 5th August 2021 and named Tanyathorn the winner with the reward of 10,000 Baht. The band members led by the singer, Neung Apiwat praised Tanyathorn for the beautiful voice and balance she conducted throughout the song. |

September 11 -12, 2021 AU Student Golfer Achieves the 2nd Runner Up in Chang Junior Golf Classic 2021Congratulations to Mr. Thanakrit Phenkoksung, AU freshmen from Theodore Maria School of Arts for winning the third-place winner in the Special Class Boy of Chang Junior Golf Classic 2021. The event was taken place at Lake View Resort & Golf Club in Phetchaburi for 2 days. Mr. Thanakrit obtained a triple bogey (T3. 74-73 = 147) in 2 days, conquering the third-place winner. His scores seconded the first-place and the second-place winners only for 1 stroke and the competition had to conclude with the play off. |

September 24 and 27, 2021 AU Community Received Tung Pan Num JaiRev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President of Assumption University of Thailand (AU), was the representative to offer a number of CGA Bags of Kindness or Tung Pan Num Jai, containing food and other necessities, to AU supporting staff in order to lessen their difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic on September 24, 2021 at Seminar Room, de Montfort Hall, Hua Mak Campus. On September 27, 2021. Rev. Bro. Dr. Amnuay Yoonprayong, Vice President for Moral Development Education of Assumption University, was the representative to give Tug Pan Num Jai to AU supporting staff at Suvarnabhumi Campus. This project was organized by the Confederation of St. Gabriel's Alumni Association of Thailand (CGA) with an aim to support those suffered from the COVID-19 epidemic in Thailand. The CGA bags have been delivered to 14 Alumni communities of Saint Gabriel Foundation Thailand for further distribution. |

The first stop was at Community Enterprise of Safe Fruit Production at Ban Rang Si Mok, Dumnern Saduak subdistrict (วิสาหกิจชุมชนผลิตผลไม้ปลอดภัยบ้านรางสีหมอก), the second was at Community Enterprise of Turkey Farmers at Ratchaburi, Pak Thor subdistrict (วิสาหกิจชุมชนไก่งวงราชบุรี), the third at Community Enterprise of Mae Ban at Pong Krating (Mae Oy Tin) (วิสาหกิจชุมชนกลุ่มแม่บ้านโป่งกระทิง (แม่อ้อยถิ่น)), and the last stop was at Community Enterprise of Organic pig farm (วิสาหกิจชุมชนหมูหลุม ต.ดอนแร่). |

The objective of Loy Krathong 2021 is to disseminate and to promote Thai culture and tradition among AU community members. Due to the prolonged impact of COVID - 19 pandemic in Thailand, the Loy Krathong festival was administrated under the new normal platform to ensure the utmost safety and memorable experience for its participants. Loy Krathong activities represent the cultural charms of the 4 regions of Thailand and the Thadingyut festival of Myanmar. There were Thai food booths for the 4 regions and 1 Myanmar food booth, as well as Thai traditional games, activities, and a krathong making workshop. There was also Thai classical dance from the Music Club and the AU International Student Community performed. |

December 17, 2021 AU Nursing Convocation, Class of 2020Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) organized Nursing Convocation for Nursing graduates class of 2020 on December 17, 2021 at Salle d' Expo room, Assumption Hall of Hua Mak Campus. The ceremony began with the academic address by Dr. Pimsiri Bhusiri, Dean of Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science. Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President - Rector Magnificus then delivered an opening remark to the faculty members and Nursing graduate class of 2020. The ceremony continued with 20 Nursing graduates being adorned with black stripes and pins by the faculty members. This was followed by the honorary session in which the Nursing graduate representative gave the pledge of loyalty and presentation of gratitude. |

The Commencement Exercises for Graduates Classes of 48 and 49The commencement exercise is one of special academic events in which graduates are officially bestowed an academic degree that they have successfully obtained. The commencement exercise was initiated in Western universities and later it was adapted and has been implemented in Thai universities. The commencement exercise in 2022 is for Classes 48 and 49 and it will be held on Saturday 8th January 2022 at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the commencement exercise of Class 48 was postponed and later it was combined with that of Class 49. |

February 25, 2022 Live for Digital Future: Two New Programs, Creative Commercial Communication (CCC) and Creative Communication Design (CCD)The Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts organized the Live event to explain about the core programs of Creative Commercial Communication (CCC) and Creative Communication Design (CCD) by Asst. Prof. Nattanan Naewmalee, Communication Design Master (Chairperson) and Dr. Nutthaphut Pandjad, Brand Communication Master (Chairperson). The Creative Commercial Communication (CCC) program is comprised of five concentrations and the DUET degree program collaboration. The five concentrations are Advertising and Brand Communication, Image Management and Public Relations, Digital Media, Live Event Creation and Management, and Innovative Gamification and Content Management. In the field of advertising, the program has been ranked No. 2 in Thailand from the alumni impact and the research work of faculty members. The Innovative Gamification and Content Management is the latest concentration designed especially for those who love E-sports and gaming. |

This academic collaboration is part of Modern Trade Business Education (MTE) that supports the Design and Digital Innovation program (DDI) of Assumption University. AU will provide grants for ACL students who have been enrolling at ACL from Grade 1 to Grade 12 (overall 12 years). |

March 26, 2022 Earthworm Project for Sustainable AgricultureSince 2014, Theophane Venard School of Biotechnology has started the annual academic project entitled "Earthworms Culture Training for Community," operated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Viyada Kunathigan and Asst. Prof. Dr. Tatsawan Tipvarakarnkoon and supported by Assumption University of Thailand. This summer (March 26, 2022), the "Earthworm Project for Sustainable Agriculture" vermiculture workshop was conducted at O-Farm at Suvarnabhumi. The participants included the organic farmers' community led by Mr. Kantapong Kaewkamol (O-farm owner and advisor to the Young Smart Farmer Thailand Network) together with Mr. Penphol Sangkaew (organic farmer and entrepreneur from Phetchabun) and Mrs. Sujinda Mahattanakul (from Samutprakarn provinces) and her team members. The workshop was also broadcasted through the Facebook page of O-Farm (https://www.facebook.com/OFARM2016).

April 20-23, 2022 AU Super Camp 2022The AU Super Camp 2022 HAS ENDED WITH GREAT SUCCESS!... 132 participants aged 16-19 years old attended the four days and three nights of the AU Super Camp 2022. The participating youngsters acquired new knowledge, received advice on how to start a business, and got the hands-on experience in making business plans from the experts and experienced coaches, as well as the faculty members of Assumption University. In addition, a number of Assumption University's current students participated in the camp to lead activities, provide fun and take care of the participating youngsters. Through this AU Super Camp 2022, Assumption University has provided scholarships of 10,000 Baht to all 132 youngsters who participated in this camp and wish to study at Assumption University |

IN-TO Melon Farm has been selected as a target entrepreneur that DIProm would like to set up as a model for "Holistic Area Based Community Development." May 11 -13, 2022 School of Music Organized AU Music Training Camp No. 9: The Music Entrepreneurship SeriesThe Louis Nobiron School of Music, Assumption University of Thailand (AU), organized its popular music camp once again, "AU Music Training Camp No. 9: The Music Entrepreneurship Series," on May 11-13, 2022 at the Cathedral of Learning, Suvarnabhumi Campus. Thirty high school students who have a passion for music and want to learn and understand working in the music industry, both in the foreground and behind the scenes, attended the camp. This camp featured many renowned guest artists such as Pon (Clash), Ink Waruntorn, Pingpong Sirasak, Potay Mean and Kiddorecords and guests from various music companies who came and shared their knowledge and experiences with the participants. |
