Design in Action: AU and FOURDIGIT Shape the UX of Tomorrow

WRITER: THE AU LIBRARY

The Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, Assumption University of Thailand (AU), formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fourdigit (Thailand) Co., Ltd. on September 30, 2025, at the Wiset Srisamut Room, The Cathedral of Learning Building, Suvarnabhumi Campus.

This partnership aims to foster collaboration in creative communication design, innovation, and future-oriented digital solutions, bridging academia with industry expertise.

About FOURDIGIT

FOURDIGIT is a professional partner for businesses, connecting them with users through the power of design. By developing and launching services and products based on a deep understanding of users, the company accelerates business growth while contributing to a better society.

From its roots in Japan, one of the world’s most mature markets navigating demographic shifts, to the dynamic youth-driven markets of Southeast Asia, FOURDIGIT operates across multiple cities and cultures. Its teams combine local insight with global design expertise, pushing boundaries in the UX field.

UX stands for User Experience. It’s all about how people feel when they interact with a product, service, or system—whether that’s a website, mobile app, software, or even an ATM machine. Good UX makes things easy, intuitive, efficient, and even enjoyable for the user. Bad UX? That’s when you’re clicking a “Submit” button and nothing happens, or you can’t find the menu on a website without playing hide-and-seek.

Ceremony Highlights

  • Opening Remarks were delivered by A. Checkchanok Bullakul, Chairperson of the Program of Creative Communication Design, who outlined the background and objectives of the MoU.
  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Nutthaphut Pandjad, Dean of the Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, shared the school’s vision for developing communication arts education that integrates creativity, technology, and global competitiveness.
  • Mr. Sunsern Suttichainimit, Executive Director of Fourdigit (Thailand) Co., Ltd., emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and nurturing young talent to meet the evolving demands of the digital era.

The ceremony included the official signing of the MoU, a group photo session, and an exchange of ideas, dialogue, and Q&A with distinguished guests.

Strengthening Industry–Academic Collaboration

This MoU reflects AU’s dedication to building meaningful partnerships that prepare students for success in the rapidly changing communication and creative industries. By working closely with Fourdigit (Thailand), students will gain valuable exposure to real-world practices, while the company benefits from fresh perspectives and academic insights.
