WRITER: THE AU LIBRARY

Assumption University of Thailand (AU)’s Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts proudly hosted an inspiring special talk titled “จากนักออกแบบท่าเต้นสู่เจ้าของธุรกิจ” (From Choreographer to Entrepreneur : Developing Young Artists in an Era Where Children are Commodified) at the CA Mini Theatre, Suvarnabhumi Campus. The event featured the extraordinary ครูอู๋ (Premjit Amnarnchamani), founder of D Dance Thailand, who shared her transformational journey from an acclaimed choreographer to a visionary business leader.

Renowned for her innovative dance techniques and passion for nurturing talent, ครูอู๋ captivated the audience with her unique insights into the challenges and opportunities of the modern dance industry. She emphasized the importance of empowering young talent, especially in an era where children are increasingly perceived as products rather than creators. Her talk resonated deeply, offering practical strategies and motivational anecdotes that encouraged attendees to embrace creativity and entrepreneurial thinking.

D Dance Thailand, under ครูอู๋’s leadership, is more than just a dance studio—it’s a movement that combines artistry with self-expression and personal growth. Located in the heart of Bangkok at The EmQuartier, it is Thailand’s first studio within a city shopping complex, offering cutting-edge dance programs and fostering a community of aspiring artists. The studio is celebrated for its personalized coaching, unique initiatives like the ‘Auulala Class’ for self-discovery, and its role in producing some of Thailand’s most iconic performers.

The event was not only a platform for inspiration but also an interactive space for students and faculty to engage with a pioneering figure in the creative arts industry. During the Q&A session, ครูอู๋ shared her philosophy of blending discipline with innovation, stressing the importance of resilience in both the arts and entrepreneurship.

This special talk highlighted AU’s dedication to empowering students to pursue their passions while equipping them with the tools to succeed in an ever-evolving world.
