Bridging the Gap: AU Faculty Seminar Builds a Stronger Student Pathway

Faculty members from across all disciplines gathered at the John XXIII Conference Center for the AU Annual Faculty Seminar 2025, held under the theme “From High Schools to Assumption University: Building a Stronger Pathway for Student Success”.

The seminar opened with a keynote address by Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of Assumption University of Thailand (AU). A visionary leader known for his unwavering dedication to education and values-based development, Rev. Bro. Sirichai emphasized the importance of creating inclusive academic pathways that empower students to thrive from the moment they enter University life. His words served as both a call to action and a source of inspiration for the faculty in attendance.

The morning continued with a featured session by Dr. Meechoke Thongsawai, Head of Business Unit, Academic Development & International Business at SE-EDUCATION Plc., who shared insightful perspectives on engaging today’s students in meaningful and motivating ways.

In the afternoon, participants took part in hands-on workshops that explored innovative strategies to support student success throughout the academic journey.

Organized by Theodore Maria School of Arts and the Office of Human Resources Management, the seminar reinforced AU’s enduring commitment to academic excellence, faculty development, and student achievement.
