WRITER: THE AU LIBRARY
Assumption University of Thailand(AU) welcomed Mr. Zhao Peiqin as the new Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at Assumption University (CIAU). The appointment was marked by a welcome ceremony and working discussion attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kitti Phothikitti, Vice President for Educational Innovation and Graduate Studies, Dr. Khongrit Chatpathomrak, Thai Director of CIAU, and representatives from AU and CIAU.
During the meeting, AU and CIAU affirmed their shared commitment to strengthening Chinese language education and cultural exchange for AU students, faculty, and the wider community.
About CIAU
The Confucius Institute at Assumption University (CIAU), established in partnership with Tianjin University of Science and Technology, serves as a bridge for Chinese language education and cultural exchange in Thailand. Through language courses, cultural activities, scholarships, and academic collaborations, CIAU supports AU’s mission of internationalization while meeting Thailand’s growing demand for Chinese language skills in education, business, tourism etc.
