AU officially sent off its athletes with pride ahead of the 51st Thailand University Games.
On December 23, 2025, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) held an official send-off ceremony for its student-athletes who were set to compete in the 51st Thailand University Games (Inthanin Games 2026). The ceremony took place at the Grand Salon Room, Suvarnabhumi Campus, and reflected the University’s strong commitment to excellence, discipline, and sportsmanship.
The event brought together University executives, administrators, coaches, team managers, and athletes for a ceremonial parade and formal program conducted under the theme “My Passion Wakes My AU Spirit”. A total of 96 athletes and 47 supporting staff represented AU across 12 sports disciplines, including badminton, basketball 3×3, go, golf, hapkido, jiu-jitsu, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, woodball, and pentathlon.
A highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic handover of the AU flag by Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of AU, to the Head of the Athlete Delegation Mr. Nukul Chaisuriya. The gesture marked the University’s trust and encouragement as its athletes prepared to compete on the national stage.
During the program, it was reaffirmed that all athletes had completed physical fitness tests and sport science training in accordance with the regulations of the University Sports Board of Thailand. Competing under the University motto “Labor Omnia Vincit” the AU delegation pledged to represent the institution with determination, integrity, and respect.
The ceremony concluded with a group photo and the singing of the Assumption University anthem, capturing a moment of unity and pride before the athletes’ departure to Chiang Mai, where the Games would be held from January 9–19, 2026.
