AU Prepares to Launch Thailand Phase of “Resonance” Arts Exchange

AU prepares to welcome Resonance, uniting Chinese and Thai universities through contemporary art.

Assumption University of Thailand(AU)  is preparing to launch the Thailand phase of Resonance: China–Thailand Arts Exchange Exhibition, continuing a landmark cultural collaboration that began in China in late 2025.

The upcoming opening at the AU ‘s Museum, Suvarnabhumi Campus, represents the second chapter of Resonance, following its successful debut in Hebei, China. The first phase marked a milestone in Thailand–China cultural relations and formed part of the year-long commemoration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Building on that momentum, the Thailand opening ceremony is expected to welcome guest artists from China’s leading academies of fine arts, alongside artists and academic representatives from Thailand’s foremost universities. Participating Thai institutions include Chiang Mai University, Srinakharinwirot University, Chulalongkorn University, and Silpakorn University, alongside Assumption University of Thailand.

Co-hosted by Assumption University of Thailand and Hebei Academy of Fine Arts, Resonance brings together artists from ten institutions across China and Thailand. The exhibition serves as a platform for sustained artistic and academic exchange, highlighting the role of universities as cultural bridges in the region.

The Thailand phase of Resonance will showcase a wide spectrum of artistic expression, including painting, sculpture, digital and graphic design, interactive installations, video performance, and ceramic craftsmanship. Together, the works explore shared heritage, contemporary perspectives, and the evolving dialogue between the two countries’ creative communities.

Open to students, faculty members, and the general public, the exhibition reinforces AU’s position as a regional hub for international collaboration, creative scholarship, and cultural diplomacy.

Resonance: China–Thailand Arts Exchange Exhibition will be on view at Assumption University of Thailand from January 17 to February 14, 2026. Details of the opening ceremony and related academic activities will be announced soon.
