Assumption University of Thailand (AU) lit up the John Paul II Sports Center last night with AU Freshy Night 2025 : The Enchanted Forest, an evening where music, unity, and campus spirit created memories to last a lifetime.
The event began with an inspiring opening speech from Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of AU, who warmly welcomed students and the AU community :
“Tonight marks another special occasion as we gather here for Freshy Night, under the theme ‘The Enchanted Forest.’ This theme symbolizes a forest of enchantment, filled with discovery and growth—much like the journey of university life that all of you have already begun to experience.”
The President emphasized that, though the first months of university life can be challenging, the AU family stands together as a community of support :
“Even though the path through the forest may be filled with challenges, when we walk together with a shared purpose, we will discover beauty, friendship, and personal growth along the way.”
After officially opening Freshy Night 2025, the spotlight turned to a dazzling program of performances and competitions.
✨ Faculty Spirit Competitions
A highlight of the evening was the spirited cheer performances from every faculty, each blending creativity, choreography, and passion in a friendly competition that showcased AU pride.
✨ Student Talent on Stage
Freshy Night wasn’t only about headliners — AU’s own talent took center stage, too.
- The AU Thai Classical Dance Group impressed with a graceful traditional performance.
- The AU Dance Club brought modern energy and creativity that had the crowd cheering.
- Two student bands, winners of the Freshy Night Auditions, rocked the stage and proved that the next generation of AU musicians is ready to shine.
✨ Concert Highlights
The legendary Thai band Pause had the crowd swaying with timeless classics, while Euro and Ponchet delivered high-energy performances that kept the sports center electrified until the final encore.
Organized by the Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO), Freshy Night once again proved to be more than just a concert. It was a rite of passage — welcoming the newest Eagles into AU’s vibrant community with music, friendship, and unforgettable joy.
AU Freshy Night 2025 didn’t just enchant the night — it opened a new chapter of discovery and growth for every student in the forest.
