A senior delegation from Assumption University of Thailand (AU), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanintorn Jittawiriyanukoon, Vice President for Research and Academic Services, visited Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) in Chengdu, China, further strengthening long-standing academic ties and opening new pathways for cooperation.
The delegation received a warm welcome from Professor Li Zhisheng, Vice President of SWUFE, who emphasized the strong foundation of collaboration and mutual respect between the two institutions. High-level discussions centered on enhancing research partnerships, expanding academic services, and deepening student and faculty exchange opportunities.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanintorn expressed his sincere appreciation for SWUFE’s hospitality, noting that this visit marks an important step toward a more dynamic and comprehensive academic partnership. He highlighted AU’s commitment to building a broader, higher-quality platform for sustainable collaboration across key academic and research domains.
During the meeting, Professor Yuan Songyang, Dean of the School of International Education at SWUFE, outlined the university’s distinctive strengths in international education and talent development. Leaders from both universities exchanged insights on global higher-education trends and identified shared goals for cultivating cross-cultural and interdisciplinary talent.
The visit concluded with a mutual agreement to establish closer communication mechanisms and to explore new areas of cooperation. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Sino–Thai academic collaboration and advancing educational exchange between China and Thailand to new heights.
