Joint Class between Assumption University and Kookmin University, South Korea

Faculty of Biotechnology, Assumption University, conducted a joint class in Basic Microbial Physiology with the Department of Forest Products and Biotechnology, Kookmin University, South Korea. Initiated since 2015, such anexchange educational project was initiated by the AU School of Biotechnology’s lecturers in collaboration with Professors from Kookmin University.

Students’ Learning Development and Knowledge Management Seminar 2020

To equip the AU students with knowledge and research skills on digital literacy, the Students’ Learning Development and Knowledge Management Seminar 2020 on “Understanding and Conducting Research on Digital Literacy” was held. Actively participated by graduate, doctoral students, executives and faculty members, the seminar featured an experienced keynote speaker: Dr. Andrew Anthony Jocuns.

1st Career Guidance 2019 (School of Law)

To provide the soon-to-graduate senior AU law students with appropriate directions or guidelines in regards to available work opportunities, the Career Guidance workshop was organized for their successful future legal endeavors. The session was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sthianrapab Naluang, Dean, Faculty of Law.

Run for Health! (AU Mini Marathon 2020)

As good health is vitally essential, the 6- kilometer AU Mini Marathon 2020 encompassing the road networks inside Suvarnabhumi Campus was for the AU community members: administrators, faculty, staff, students and other health-conscious individuals.  The mini marathon kicking off at the John Paul II Sports Center at 5.30 pm was refreshingly fun and health promoting group activity.

MOU Signing Ceremony between AU MSME and Thai Holding Group Public Co., Ltd.

To continually upgrade and accelerate academic performance excellence in the various business disciplines, an ambitious academic collaboration (MOU) was signed between the AU Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME) and the Thai Holding Group Public Co. Ltd., the very large and powerful Business Insurance and Financial Management Corporation which entails a number of its existing business affiliates or subsidiary companies.

The Thai Arbitration Institute (TAI)’s Road Show 2020 to disseminate knowledge and advertise the arbitration process to Faculty of Law

Dr. Pornpat Tantikulananta, a judge from the Office of the President of the Supreme Court and the Executive Director of the Thai Arbitration Institute (TAI) together with the TAI's staff visited the Faculty of Law, Assumption University, to disseminate the knowledge about procedures and methods used in arbitral proceedings.

Junior Recital “Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3”

Mr. Parikesit Tanudjaja, a student from Department of Music Performance, AU School of Music, excellently performed a Junior Recital “Beethoven Piano Concerto No.3” in C minor, Op.37 which was composed by the great composer, Ludwig Van Beethoven. Under the supervision or guidance of Dr. Paulo Zereu, Parikesit displayed his wonderful musical.

Lego Game-based Learning and Improving STEM Education among Children

Three Danish postgraduate students from Aalborg University (www.aau.dk) completing a master program in ICT, Learning & Organizational Change are scheduled to interview Asst. Prof. Dr. Poonsri Vate-U-Lan, an AU scholar & expert in this field. These three master thesis students working collaboratively on how the FIRST® LEGO® League could be implemented in primary schools using gamed-based- learning to foster interest in STEM activities in children in Thai and Danish schools.

Training for Nursing Practicum 

A group of registered nurses from the public, private hospitals and business companies are undergoing the training organized by Assumption University’s Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Sciences to be equipped as qualified nursing trainers or mentors for nursing trainees in their respective workplaces.
