On December 11-12, 2024, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) by Center for Student Personality and Campus Life, Student Affairs hosted the AU Care Physical Check-Up 2/2024, a two-day event focused on helping students stay healthy.
Students received free health screenings, including physical evaluations and consultations with medical professionals. They also got practical advice on managing stress, eating well, and staying active during their studies.
The event began with an inspiring opening speech from Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of AU, who warmly welcomed students and the AU community :
“Tonight marks another special occasion as we gather here for Freshy Night, under the theme ‘The Enchanted Forest.’ This theme symbolizes a forest of enchantment, filled with discovery and growth—much like the journey of university life that all of you have already begun to experience.”
“This event shows how much the university cares about students’ well-being, not just their academic success,” said a member of the AU Care team.
The event was held on campus, making it easy for students to attend. Many appreciated the convenience and the chance to focus on their health without interrupting their schedules. “It’s great to have this kind of support available,” one student said.
AU Care is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to promote wellness and ensure students have the resources they need to thrive, both inside and outside the classroom. Events like this highlight AU’s commitment to creating a supportive and healthy environment for all.
