AU athletes are competing proudly across disciplines at the Inthanin Games 2026 in Chiang Mai.
Assumption University of Thailand (AU) has begun its journey at the 51st Thailand University Games, the Inthanin Games 2026, with confidence, determination, and unmistakable AU spirit. The national multi-sport event is taking place from January 9–19, 2026, hosted by Maejo University in Chiang Mai Province.
With student-athletes competing across a wide range of sporting disciplines, AU is proudly represented throughout the Games in both team and individual events. From the opening days of competition, AU athletes have demonstrated resilience, sportsmanship, and a strong sense of unity, qualities that reflect the University’s commitment to holistic student development.
The Games have already delivered a moment of celebration for the AU community with the University’s first medal of the tournament. Ms. Pacharaporn “Tanyong” Sukhamon, a third-year student from the Theodore Maria School of Arts, earned a bronze medal in the women’s taekwondo sparring event (under 62 kg). Her semifinal match was closely fought, underscoring the high level of competition at this year’s Games.
This early success has set a positive tone for AU’s continued participation at the Inthanin Games, highlighting the passion and perseverance of AU athletes as they continue to compete over the coming days.
As the Games progress, Assumption University of Thailand extends its warmest congratulations to all student-athletes who have already competed and best wishes to those yet to take the field, court, or mat. Each performance carries the pride of the entire AU community; students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters.
The University encourages the AU community to follow the latest match results, athlete highlights, and news updates throughout the competition and to show their support for AU athletes as they continue to represent the University with honor and heart.
