A senior delegation from Assumption University of Thailand (AU), led by Rev. Br. Sirichai Fonseka, F.S.G., PhD, President, met with leaders at Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT) to advance their growing academic partnership and map new joint initiatives.
The AU delegation included Dr. Chainarong Rungruengarporn, Dean of the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME), and Dr. Bhumiphat Gilitwala, Program Director for MBA & Smart MBA. CHARUSAT’s provost, deans, principals, and senior academic leaders hosted campus meetings and exchanges that showcased the university’s strengths and culture of hospitality.
Discussions focused on practical, industry-aligned collaboration and reaffirmed shared priorities in student mobility, faculty engagement, and applied learning. Visit highlights included leadership roundtables, tours of academic facilities and labs, and program-level meetings with school heads and faculty.
Both universities agreed to accelerate work in:

- Joint and co-supervised research
- Visiting professors and faculty development
- Articulation pathways, including dual or stackable credentials
The visit set a clear roadmap for impactful cooperation that expands global opportunities for learners while strengthening research and teaching at both institutions—enhancing graduate employability and fostering innovation across Thailand, India, and beyond.
