On December 17, 2025, Professor Aiko Takai, Associate Professor of Marketing, and Mr. Kazuki Takatsu, a student representative from the Professional Graduate School of Global and Community Management (PGSGC), University of Fukui, visited Assumption University of Thailand (AU) to explore academic collaboration opportunities.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Chayada Thanavisut, Dean of Theodore Maria School of Arts, with participation from Dr. Siriwan Preechanarit, Chairperson of the Department of Business Japanese; Ajarn Varoth Tontiwachwuthikul, Lecturer in the Department of Business Japanese; and Dr. Thananporn Sethjinda, Director of the Office of International Affairs.
Professor Takai and Mr. Takatsu toured the AU campus, learning about its rich heritage, mission, and sports venues that hosted the SEA Games diving competition. The participants exchanged ideas on PGSGC’s innovative internship-based approach to skill development and industry collaboration, and identified opportunities for short-term programs in international business and cultural immersion experiences.
AU extends its sincere thanks to Professor Takai for this valuable visit and the exciting possibilities for collaboration. We look forward to turning these ideas into reality.
