A Night of Recognition for AU’s Inthanin Games Athletes

Assumption University of Thailand honored its Inthanin Games athletes with gratitude, unity, and well-earned pride.


On January 27, 2026, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) organized a warm and celebratory congratulatory dinner to honor its athletes and working team following their successful participation in the 51st Thailand University Games “Inthanin Games,” held at Maejo University in Chiang Mai.

The event was held to recognize the dedication, perseverance, and outstanding performances of the AU athletic delegation, whose achievements brought pride and national recognition to the university community. The atmosphere throughout the evening was filled with warmth, joy, and a strong sense of shared accomplishment.

At the Games, the AU team earned an impressive 16 medals3 gold, 5 silver, and 8 bronze—securing 22nd place out of 110 universities nationwide, a strong showing that reflected disciplined preparation, teamwork, and competitive spirit.

The ceremony was presided over by Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of AU, who personally presented medals to the athletes and offered words of thoughtful recognition. In his remarks, he acknowledged not only the visible success on the podium, but the discipline, perseverance, and quiet resolve forged through months of training and commitment. He commended the athletes for representing the university with dignity and excellence and encouraged them to continue refining their talents, reminding them that true achievement lies as much in character and consistency as in medals won.

The event was further honored by the presence of Rev. Bro. Monthol Prathumarach, f.s.g., Ph.D., Vice President for Special Affairs, who also presented medals and extended his personal congratulations to the athletes.

University executives, faculty members, team managers, coaches, assistant coaches, athletes, and parents gathered together to celebrate the achievements, reinforcing the unity and strong sense of community that define AU.

Filled with smiles, applause, and shared pride, the evening reflected the true sporting spirit of AU—one rooted in perseverance, teamwork, and determination—and reaffirmed the university’s ongoing commitment to advancing sports excellence and national representation.
