On July 7, 2025 the Assumption University of Thailand (AU) community came together to celebrate a truly remarkable life—the birthday of our beloved Rector Magnificus, Rev. Bro. Bancha Saenghiran, f.s.g., Ph.D. Born in 1945, Rev. Bro. Bancha’s journey has been one of vision, virtue, and unwavering devotion to faith, education, and service.
A Morning of Joy and Gratitude at Hua Mak Campus
The heartwarming celebration took place in the Faculty Lounge at Hua Mak Campus, where Rev. Bro. Bancha graciously welcomed faculty, staff, and students who gathered to honor him. With humility and warmth, he expressed gratitude not only for the thoughtful gifts, but for the presence, care, and connection of the AU family.
Everyone gathered for commemorative photos. The smiles and laughter captured in each photo reflected the deep admiration and affection felt throughout the AU community.
A Message of Wisdom and Unity
In his birthday message, Rev. Bro. Bancha offered words both profound and timeless.
“We live and grow within a hierarchy, and in this structure, we must show one another the respect and dignity each person deserves,” he began.
He reminded the community of the university’s guiding motto—“Labor Omnia Vincit”—not merely as a phrase, but as a call to live with intention and perseverance. “We must be hardworking always, with our eyes fixed not just on the task, but on the outcomes we seek to achieve,” he urged.
With characteristic grace, he turned to the heart of AU’s mission: community. “Let us walk together in affection, in peace and harmony, with a spirit of true collaboration.”
He ended with a gentle benediction that moved many in the room: “Thank you for your kindness. I pray for each and every one of you.”
An Enduring Legacy
Today’s celebration was more than a birthday—it was a tribute to a man whose life has shaped generations. His vision has uplifted AU and continues to guide it forward with integrity and compassion.
