On Monday, September 29, 2025, the University will honor the Feast Day of the President, the Archangel St. Gabriel, with the blessing of a truly historic achievement: the “Gabriel Mary” Research and Learning Center for New Energy Vehicle Technology, the first center of its kind in Thailand.
The new center carries profound meaning for AU. Its name unites St. Gabriel, patron saint of Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., AU President, symbolizing divine guidance and protection, with Mary, honoring the Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science and Technology representing the pursuit of knowledge and technological excellence. Together, “Gabriel Mary” stands as a powerful symbol of faith, scholarship, and innovation for the future.
Program Highlights
09:45 hrs. – Arrival of Monsignor Dr. Vissanu Thanya-anan at Suvarnabhumi Campus
10:00 hrs. – Feast Day Celebration and Blessing Ceremony of the Gabriel Mary Research and Learning Center
10:30 hrs. – Photo Sessions to commemorate this historic event
10:45 hrs. – Refreshments and community fellowship
This is more than a ceremony—it is a milestone for AU. The “Gabriel Mary” Research and Learning Center will be a hub of research excellence, preparing students and faculty to lead in the age of sustainable mobility and clean energy innovation.
