Assumption University of Thailand (AU) welcomed Ms. Iya Diza, Regional Manager for Southeast Asia at Massey University, New Zealand, to its Suvarnabhumi Campus on September 4, 2025. The visit marked the beginning of a new connection between the two institutions and set the stage for future cooperation.
Learning About Massey University
Massey University, founded in 1927, is one of New Zealand’s most respected institutions. Ranked #239 in the QS World University Rankings 2025, Massey operates three campuses in Auckland, Wellington, and Palmerston North. The university is widely recognized for its expertise in Business, Finance, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, and Communication. Its Finance program is especially renowned, featuring New Zealand’s first university trading room with Bloomberg terminals and ranked #1 nationally by Shanghai Ranking.
Experiencing AU’s Campus Life
The visit began at Sala Thai and continued with a campus tour led by AU representatives. Key stops included the Cathedral of Learning Library, St. Louis Marie de Montfort Chapel, the Residence Halls, and the John Paul II Sports Center. Together, these landmarks highlighted AU’s academic strengths, cultural heritage, and the supportive facilities that shape student life, giving Ms. Iya a vivid impression of the university’s unique learning environment.
Looking Ahead Together
The visit successfully established a foundation for future discussions, with both universities expressing interest in exploring collaboration through academic pathways and study abroad opportunities.
