AU and Vaxion Korea Unite to Bridge Industry and Academia

MSME partnered with Vaxion Korea to align academic learning with real-world digital industry practice.

Assumption University of Thailand (AU) , through its Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Vaxion Korea Company Limited, formalizing a collaboration aimed at narrowing the gap between academic study and industry application. The agreement was established under the initiative Assumption University  of Thailand x Vaxion Campus Mission: Bridging Industry and Academia for Tomorrow.

The signing ceremony was held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at AU’s Suvarnabhumi Campus. The University was represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Uree Cheasakul, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Chainarong Rungruengarporn, Dean of the MSME, who jointly signed the agreement on behalf of the institution.

Vaxion Korea Company Limited was represented by Mr. Jay J. Huh, Managing Director of Seoul Land; Mr. Taihyeon Kim, Managing Director of Vaxion Korea; and Mr. Haejin Pyun, Director of Vaxion Korea. During the ceremony, the Vaxion delegation emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration with universities to prepare graduates for the demands of the rapidly evolving digital economy.

The partnership focused on the integration of creative learning platforms and digital applications into academic activities, supporting experiential and project-based learning. Through this collaboration, students were expected to develop key competencies including business thinking, teamwork, project design, and digital data management, allowing theoretical knowledge to be applied in practical, industry-relevant contexts.

Following the signing, a continuing activity was held at the Black Box Studio, Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts. The Vaxion team introduced selected digital platforms and shared industry perspectives through hands-on demonstrations, offering students and faculty insight into current professional practices and creative digital workflows.

The agreement reflected AU’s ongoing commitment to industry-engaged education and experiential learning, while highlighting Vaxion Korea’s role in supporting academic institutions through innovative digital solutions. Together, the partnership aimed to contribute to sustainable growth in the creative and digital economy by preparing graduates who are both academically grounded and industry ready.
