Students from the Graduate School of Human Sciences stepped into an energizing experiential-learning session as they played the 2030 SDGs Game. On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, 30 master’s and doctoral students from Dr Timothy Scott’s classes explored what it takes to build a sustainable world through strategic choices, team negotiations, and reflective discussion.
Student feedback captured the impact clearly. The overall experience earned a 4.76/5 rating, with 100% of participants expressing interest in learning more about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and ESG. Many shared that the game helped them understand trade-offs, practice negotiation, and apply theoretical knowledge to real-life scenarios.
Several commented that the environment made it easy to participate, collaborate, and stay fully engaged, remarks that quietly point to the thoughtful facilitation behind the scenes. Requests for “more rounds next time” reflected how quickly the room connected with the activity.
This session demonstrated how well-designed experiential learning can deepen comprehension, strengthen group bonds, and make sustainability concepts both practical and inspiring. It also reflects the AU Library’s commitment to supporting innovative learning initiatives across Assumption University of Thailand.
A very special thank-you to Mr. Kaung Myat Aung (River) from the School of Biotechnology for his expert assistance. His professionalism, calm problem-solving, and behind-the-scenes support were invaluable. Every great session has a quiet hero and River truly made the event run smoothly.
