Final presentations that reflect brave ideas, real growth, and lasting impact
Saturday, October 18, 2025: The certificate program Creativity for Sustainable Solutions concluded at the Seminar Room, D Building, Assumption University Hua Mak Campus, with 30 participants successfully receiving their certificates 🎓.
🎓 This program is organized by the Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, Assumption University, under the New Breed Graduates “NxtGenHE (Next Generation of Higher Education)” initiative supported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI).
⏰ Morning Session: Final Presentations
Seven teams presented sustainability-driven campaigns shaped throughout the course. The projects addressed real challenges and aligned with the SDGs.
Highlights from the seven teams:
1. After Party Sustainability – A responsible nightlife model focusing on waste and energy management, safe drinking, and community partnership to create a healthier and greener night economy 🌃♻️
2. Better ME, Better WE – A workplace well-being culture with simple tools, measurable activities, and team practices that align with SDG 3 and SDG 8 🧠💼
3. Awakening Safe City – Safer urban areas through smart lighting, community reporting points, and awareness activities at risk spots to enable preventive safety 🏙️💡
4. HIDDEN FRIENDS: RECHARGING LIFE, TOGETHER – Repositioning Pak Kret as a weekend destination through Friendfluence storytelling, an MRT weekend journey with local deals, and a homestay plus film mission to stimulate the local economy 🚆📍
5. Foodering – Turning food surplus into nutritious, tasty, child-friendly products, paired with educational tools on the five food groups to help children and families understand nutrition, with a target SROI of 133.45 THB for every 1 THB invested 🍽️📈
6. Surp+ – Turning seafood byproducts into eco friendly lickable cat treats with recycled packaging, a return for points system, nutrition tracking, and a cause campaign to help strays, while supporting coastal communities 🐟🐱🌊
7. Green & Good Market – A prototype sustainable community market that reduces plastic and carbon, promotes local producers and safe food, and builds low carbon consumer behavior through learning activities 🛍️🌿
Seven teams presented sustainability-driven campaigns developed throughout the course, addressing real-world issues across nightlife sustainability, workplace wellness, safe cities, community tourism, food surplus utilization, circular economy, and green community markets. 🌿 Afternoon Session: Closing Ceremony
The closing ceremony was presided over by Rev. Bro. Dr. Sirichai Fonseka, President of Assumption University, who delivered the closing remarks and presented the certificates. Asst. Prof. Dr. Nutthaphut Pandjad, Dean of the Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, hosted the event, congratulated the graduates, and presented eco friendly tote bags as souvenirs, each equivalent to 13 recycled plastic bottles 🎁🌎
The day concluded with gratitude and inspiration, affirming that creativity grounded in collaboration and understanding can grow into meaningful and sustainable impact 💚
