Assumption University of Thailand (AU) warmly welcomed new students of the Smart Integration in Management and Business Analytics (SIMBA) program during its official Induction Day on Monday, November 10, 2025, marking the start of the 2/2025 semester.
Held at both the Hua Mak Campus and Suvarnabhumi Campus, the event provided an inspiring start for incoming SIMBA students, a cohort joining one of AU’s most innovative interdisciplinary programs, designed to shape future leaders fluent in both business strategy and data analytics.
A Warm Welcome to AU’s Smart Leaders
The morning began with a Welcome Speech by the Deans, who encouraged students to embrace curiosity, collaboration, and creativity throughout their academic journey.
Students were then introduced to SIMBA’s Culture by three distinguished academic leaders:

- Prof. Dr. Rawin Vongurai, Assistant Vice President for Research & Academic Services and Director of the Advanced Research Center,
- Prof. Dr. Narong Aphiratsakun, Dean of the Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science & Technology (VMES), and
- Anand Dersingh, Associate Dean and Chair of the Department of Mechatronics Engineering and AI of VMES.
They highlighted SIMBA’s mission to merge innovation, data literacy, and sustainability, qualities essential for next-generation business professionals.
The Registrar’s Office followed with an introduction to AU Sparks, the university’s dynamic digital learning ecosystem designed to enhance both academic and social engagement. The session concluded with a lively Q&A and personalized Group Advising, ensuring students received individual support in planning their academic paths.
About the SIMBA Program
The SIMBA Program at AU combines business theory and technological expertise, preparing graduates to create innovative solutions for today’s digital industries.
This program collaborates with the Graduate School and esteemed partners: Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science and Technology, Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, and Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts.
It offers an accelerated 3-year Bachelor’s + 1-year Master’s pathway, integrating management, technology, and analytics in one forward-looking curriculum.
Graduates can seamlessly progress into postgraduate studies within AU’s Graduate School of Business and Advanced Technology Management, completing a four-year dual-degree journey recognized for its international relevance and academic rigor.
