Assumption University of Thailand (AU), through its Theophane Venard School of Food Biotechnology and Innovation, hosted the Junior-Sci Conference: Future Food for Sustainability 2025 on October 16, 2025 at the Hua Mak Campus. The academic gathering brought together bright young minds from schools across Thailand to explore the theme “Future Food for Sustainability”.
The conference provided a platform for students to showcase their research, innovative ideas, and poster presentations in three thematic tracks:

- Future Food for Sustainability
- Packaging Innovations for the Future of Food
- Sustainable and Biodegradable Food Materials
The opening ceremony was presided over by Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of AU, with welcoming remarks from Asst. Prof. Dr. Patchanee Yasurin, Dean of the School. Throughout the day, participants delivered Speed Presentations and showcased posters to panels of academic judges and industry experts.
“We are proud to see students applying science to real-world challenges. Their ideas reflect the future of food innovation in Thailand and beyond,” said Asst. Prof. Dr. Patchanee.

All winners received certificates and cash prizes in recognition of their outstanding contributions to sustainable food innovation.

The Junior-Sci Conference is a flagship initiative of the School. It aims to nurture the next generation of scientists and innovators, fostering creativity, research skills, and a passion for sustainable solutions aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
