The Graduate School of Human Sciences at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) successfully hosted the workshop Understanding MBTI for Your Mental Health on September 17, 2025, at Hua Mak Campus. The event attracted students, faculty, and staff who were eager to explore how personality awareness can support well-being and personal growth.

MBTI: A Global Framework for Self-Awareness

The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) remains one of the world’s most widely used personality assessments. Based on Carl Jung’s theory of psychological types, MBTI identifies 16 personality profiles across four preference dimensions. While often debated in psychology, MBTI continues to serve as a valuable tool for reflection, teamwork, and communication in educational and organizational settings.

Spotlight on the Speaker

The workshop was led by Ms. Sally Tan, a specialist in personal development and mental health education from Brighton Academy, Singapore. Known for its innovative training programs, Brighton Academy has built a reputation for empowering learners to balance professional skills with personal growth.

Ms. Tan’s engaging approach blended theory with practice, helping participants connect their MBTI preferences to real-world challenges such as stress management, effective communication, and resilience. Her thoughtful facilitation encouraged attendees to embrace their strengths while understanding the value of diverse personality types in building stronger communities.

Empowering the AU Community

Participants praised the workshop for providing fresh perspectives on how self-knowledge can promote healthier coping strategies and stronger interpersonal connections. The event also underscored AU’s commitment to holistic education, where academic achievement is supported by initiatives that enhance mental health and emotional intelligence.

The workshop inspired the AU community to value self-awareness, respect differences, and continue prioritizing mental health as an essential part of university life.
