WRITER: THE AU LIBRARY
The first Academic Senate Meeting for the 2025 academic year was held on June 27, 2025, from 9:00 to 12:00 hrs., in the Conference Room, D21, De Montfort Hall at Assumption University of Thailand (AU)’s Hua Mak Campus.
The meeting brought together academic leaders from across the university to review teaching and learning outcomes, ensure academic quality, and map strategic initiatives for the semesters ahead.
Key agenda items included:
- Follow-up Reports on curriculum management and course submissions for both Semester 2/2024 and 1/2025, including TQF 3 and TQF 5 documentation, lecturer qualifications, and faculty office hour postings.
- Faculty Seminar Feedback and planning for increased engagement in the university’s annual academic development activities.
- School Presentations summarizing Semester 1/2025 enrollment trends and progress on academic management plans.


Additional items under review included updates on AU’s Credit Bank System for short courses, scheduling for September site visits, and a proposal to shift future Senate meetings from Fridays to Wednesdays. The meeting also discussed AU’s role in various national-level academic quality assurance and faculty development networks.
Finally, participants reviewed official guidelines from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation on short-course (non-degree) offerings, alongside announcements from the Saint Gabriel’s Foundation of Thailand regarding educational policies for Academic Year 2025.
With collaboration and innovation at its core, the Academic Senate continues to play a vital role in ensuring academic excellence, policy alignment, and student success at AU.
