For 4 consecutive years since 2014, Toyota Thailand has initiated the Campus Challenge 2014-2017 as part of their ‘White Road’ Project, in effort to bring public awareness on road safety especially among youth who, according to statistics, the age range of highest road accidences and losses. Last year Assumption University students was one of 670 teams all over Thailand who joined Campus Challenge 2016 and AVEM, the AU Team from Martin de Tours School of Management (MSME), won the first place with Baht 100,000 cash prize and a trip to Japan. Upon coming back, in attempt to make it sustainable, the winning team proposed the campaign of “Cone in your heart” with the collaboration of many organizations; Toyota, Assumption University, Police stations, Department of Rural roads and community organizations around Suvarnabhumi campus to join effort on road safety awareness extending the last year’s campaign of “Save Cone Save คน” (pronounced closed to ‘cone’ but short vowel, meaning humans), initiated by AVEM, the AU winning Team last year.
On Wednesday August 16, 2017 Mr. Surak Panichcharoen, Toyota Vice MD for PR & Social Activities, local authorities and representatives joined Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenhiran, AU Rector-Magnificus, in the opening ceremony of this continuous sustainable project at Assumption University Suvarnabhumi campus.
